TeamMASCOT takes privacy and security seriously. We have included both machine readable (for web browsers) and human readable versions of our privacy policy that outline exactly what information we collect as well as what we do with it. PRIVACY

We only collect essential information

1. When you are just browsing our site we only gather basic information like what type of browser and operating system is being used as well as the IP address of your connection. This information is refered to as "Non-Identifiable" information.
2. When purchasing an item from TeamMASCOT we only gather information essential to complete the transaction. This includes your name, email, phone number, address and billing information.

What we do with your information

1. Non-identifiable information is used purely for statistcal purposes. This information tells us how to make our web site better through optimization and content.
2. Personal information that is collected during purchase is used only to complete the transaction. As such, we only use this information to bill your credit card and ship your order.
3. Your email address is used only for order contact and shipping updates. If you choose to receive our monthly newsletter, it will be sent to your email address as well.

What we DO NOT do with your information

1. We will never sell, rent or give your information to any third party.
2. Companies such as FedEx, UPS and Visa/MasterCard are only given your information to fullfill your order and are not authorized to distribute your information.

SECURITY

Your Credit Card Transaction

Many people have concerns about using their credit card online, but we can assure you that your transaction is safe at TeamMASCOT. Reputable online companies will only use a secure SSL connection when collecting your personal information. If you are at a "checkout" page and don't see "https://" at the beginning of a web address then it is not secure and you should not enter any type of sensitive information, like a credit card number. Your web browser will also display a padlock in the "locked" position when you are at a secure site - usually in the top right or bottom corner of your browser.

Secure data collection is only part of the equation however. How a company handles and stores that information once it is collected, as well as who they give access to it, is just as critical. Less reputable companies may collect your data securely, but then leave it unprotected after that. The worst case scenario is a company that collects your credit card information securely, but then leaves it unencrypted in an online database - indefinitely.

TeamMASCOT practices the best credit card handling procedures.

1. All personal and credit card information is collected using industry standard 128-bit SSL (secure socket layer) connection.
2. Credit card information is sent directly to our merchant card processor and is fully encrypted via 128-bit SSL.
3. Our system NEVER stores your full credit card number online, but rather is only sent for approval to the credit card company.
4. We may store a partial card number (ie the last four digits of a credit card number) in an offline (not connected to the internet) database at our place of business.
5. Any partial credit card information we store is fully encrypted and is purged (deleted) from our offline system once your order is fullfilled.
6. Only privileged TeamMASCOT employees are given access to your order information and it is always in a secure, password protected environment.
